BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!
This book caught me buy surprise. I normally read intense space operas(Peter f. Hamilton, Kevin j Anderson etc.),or lots of Warhammer 40,000 novels. This is aimed at 8-12 year olds, but to be honest it's all action right from the start! It gripped me and wouldn't let go until i'd finished it.
The book has been written in a simple and refreshingly light way, so it flows very easily, which make a very enjoyable read. Many times throughout the book i found myself shouting and cheering on Jason Chaser, as he fights against the obstacles in his way.
Even though this book has been aimed at younger readers, i would recommend it to all ages. It has something for everybody, regardless of age(i myself being mid-thirties).

If you love Matthew Reilly's other books then you will love this. If you didnt like Matthew Reilly's other books because they were too implaussable, then you wil still love this.
Reilly dispenses with the one man saves the world idea, and goes the way of Harry Potter, with a child hero that is easy to relate too. The story is insanely fast, and you are totally gripped. I got it on Boxing day and finished it on Boxing day, I then read it again the day after. There is a chararcter that reflects every day hopes and fears, and a love interest, ambition, betrayal, loads of themes, that shows that Reilly can do some character development as well as great action.
Before I gave Matthew Reilly's books to my brother after I read them and he loved them, this one I will give to my Mum and Dad as well, as I know they will love it to.
Possibly the best book i have ever read.

For those of you who know Matt Reilly's work all I can say is you will not be disappointed. The book was published in its entirety on the web. Fantastic,fast paced & gave me a view of motor car racing that now makes me understand what it is all about....simply winning! Great book & a must to buy.Cannot wait for the film & the videogame ( you know this is going to happen )
Let us hope that Disney does it justice.
