back to basics but well worth having
I'm a masters swimmer who trains most of the time on my own so a book like this is a reall boon. There are some very noddy beginners drills but the stroke development drills are well explained and the reasons for doing them set out.
Think it would make a good additon to most club coaches collection - most of the drills you'll be familiar with but good to have them in one collection an so clealy explained.
One book every swimming tacher & coach should have - poolside!
Not content with one copy I got my club to purchase another seven. A few months later the transformation poolside is noticeable - teachers & assistant teachers refer to the book all the time and create their own mix of drills when teaching right through the courses we deliver. We have our favourites. All work. The progressions into each competitive stroke could not be better, there are fun practical drills too ... and of course dives & turns. My wish is for a large format version that I could better use poolside when demonstrating to swimmers. Great stuff.
