An extremely enjoyable read for anyone intersted in running and/or ultra marathons
I bought this book after reading: Ultramarathon Man, Feet in the Clouds, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running and Survival of the Fittest and in my opinion it is right up there with these greats.
If you are interested in running, trail running, or ultra marathons, then I urge you to buy this book. The book consists of about 30 to 40 personal stories about people who have completed or competed in an ultra marathon (50k plus). Stories range from champions of the sport, to keen participants each with a heart warming story. The stories are all American based but that really doesnt make any difference and you can relate to each and every one.
If this book does not inspire anyone to run, I will be more than surprised. I thoroughly recommend it and enjoyed it right to the end.
Inspired?
Some interesting personal experiences! Gives you an insight to what makes ultra runners 'tick'. Most of them seem very 'normal', but deep down we all know they can't be!! Well worth a read, it may inspire you!
Running Through the Wall
Very good book that motivates and encourages runners of all levels. A must read.
