Bit thin on single player.
This is more of a collectors item I would say, as the single player walkthrough is very sparse and in my opinion pretty poor. As an example, I bet you want to make sure you collect all the intel and destroy all the enemy symbols right? And you want to glance at the guide quickly while playing and grab them all right? Right? Wrong. The locations are in the back. You then have to cross reference the points with the sparse walkthrough in the front. Its just a mess. The multiplayer element takes on around 75% of the book. To be fair I don't want to be too harsh because killzone is one of those games you just pick up and play without wanting to refer to the guide every few moments due to its linear and fast paced nature.

I didn't know what to do, my sins were catching up with me, a life of bleary-eyed indulgence in "Call of Duty", "Myst" and "Colin McRae" had paralysed me: I had to buy this book. I find that these guides (....I have a few) if anything enhance the enjoyment, they are so beautifully printed and detailed. 400 pages of it!
I don't even play the game that much now, limiting myself to reading and admiring the text, the pictures and the maps, all expanding the "Killzone 2" universe enormously. It pushes the game beyond being a mere 1st person shooter.

It reminds me of my Avalon-Hill board games, back in the 80s. "Gettysburg", "Wooden Ships & Iron Men", "Barbarossa", "Panzer Leader" etc. I read the Rules and Manuals more than I actually got to play the games.
