It may sound like a cliché, but this cliché is true. Classic, witty and above all hilarious. It has the perfect recipe for a legendary comedy, and it has to be in everyone's DVD collection!

I wasn't really charmed by this when I watched the first few episodes. But when you get to Series Two you start to enjoy Diana & Tom's misadventures. Sharp dialogues, clever jokes and still realistic.

This must he one of the first comedies I ever saw and I was so taken by it. Rowan Atkinson delivers every line brilliantly and all supporting cast are equally funny. It had me crying with laughter.

The Bouquet Residence... If you know what follows, then I don't have to explain anything. Probably the most repeated comedy of all time, but it remains funny. Pat Routledge is a true legend.

This is probably one of the less well known comedy series in this list because it was never repeated but I can say it easily tops a lot of other well known comedies. Charming comedy from Perry/Croft.

Gervais' long-awaited second comedy didn't dissapoint. At least I thought it was almost as good as The Office. Note the extraordinary brilliant Christmas Special.

From the start of the catcy theme tune, you know you're in for a treat. Only lasted for two series but Fawlty showed us that this can also be a good outcome to the essence of the show.

Probably the next best thing to come out of the Richard Curtis stall. Classic farce but still unique in its own way. And we see Dawn French in one of her better roles.

Not many people understand their humour - but if you do get their jokes like me, then you'll agree that this is possibly the best comedy duo ever to have performed. Amen.

Suits you, Sir? Yes it suited me. Often absurd sketches but damn funny and well acted out. Also had a number of spin-offs due to the popularity of certain characters.
