A waste of money.
I bought this for my Mac & wish I hadn't, I keep getting error messages telling me to reinsatll Norton Anti Virus. Considering the Mac version is more expensive than the Widows version, I would have thought they would make sure it was compatible. I've tried updating everything including my Mac OSX but it still makes no difference.

Your children aren't kept internet safe with this
One of the main reasons for buying the product was to ensure that my kids didn't stumble across unsuitable sites - the product sells itself as being able to do this. I set up the Privacy Control ("Parental Control") to block unsuitable sites and (fortunately!) tested it to check that it was working. It did not work! Although to be fair it did block about three quarters of the sites that it should, however, I don't think that parents would say that three queaters safe was anywhere near safe enough. I have seen another review that suggests that Symantec are aware of the problem with the "Panther" O/S, but this knowledge is not freely available from the help centre who told me to re-install the software but when this didn't work I eventaully spoke to a "Mac expert" who said that they were aware there was a problem in that the product does not work! They were then quite helpful and said that I could return the product to the retailer who should give me a full refund. It's probably common sense anyway, but if you're kids are on the internet, keep an eye on them to make sure they're safe, the "Parental Control" within this product doesn't do this for you if you've got Panther O/S.

Are the other parts of the product, virus protection etc, working? How can you test this? You can't, do you just sit and wait for it to fail? Overall, a disappointing product from a big name and the fact that Symantec know that it doesn't work doesn't seem to deter them from continuing to sell it without advising their cisutomers of it's known technical failing. Not good at all, so 1 star.

Doesn't work with latest OS X version
I was hugely dissappointed with this product. Both the Anti-virus & Parental Control keep coming up with error messages saying my version of OS X is higher than what software supports. Even after running Live Update, the problem persisted. Symantec are not up to scratch with Mac products.
Another issue is that the user interphase is v. annoying... littering your desktop with open programs you cannot terminate.
