Too small to be usable
The case is better than some I've had in the past, at least it keeps closed and there is little chance of the camera falling out (which once happened with a Kodak camera and case I had). Other than that, it's *way* too small and it's a struggle to even store the strap never mind spare batteries or cards.
Thoughtless, Almost Useless Piece of Kit - and Poor Value
Ordered a DCC-90 for my new Powershot S3 in the expectation that, as it was a Canon case designed specifically for the S3, it would be "the tops". The product turned out to be a cheaply made, canvas bag and far too small to be of any real use. The camera does not slip easily into the case, but has to be carefully "shoe-horned" into it. Infuriatingly also, the DCC-90 case has no space or pockets, inside or out, for an extra set of batteries, or even a spare SD Card - both of which most camera users would like to carry during normal, day-to-day use. Had the designers increased the size of the bag by just a tad, then all of the size problems I have mentioned could have been resolved, albeit the case would still look cheap, lacking any of the fundamental quality one expects of such a prestigeous make and remain of very poor value. Frankly, it doesn`t even deserve "1 star"!
Unfortunately, I destroyed the packaging as I opened the case, otherwise I would have immediately returned it to Amazon as "unfit for purpose". If you are still keen on having one of these cases, then look out on Ebay, for that is where mine is going!
Just the right fit
The Canon S3 fits in the case very nicely. I tried a camera case from Jessops and the camera was swimming in it, it had lots of room for batteries and memory, but that wasn't what I wanted. I prefer to keep spare batteries and memory cards in my backpack and separate from the camera. The case looks good without screaming 'I've got an expensive camera, steal me'. The camera is easy to get in and out and if you want quick access, you can just use the velcro closure to keep it in until you need to grab it again. The neck strap for the camera can be squeezed inside, but it is a tight fit.
