Good value for money
Disappointed that it doesn't have S-VHS output (though it has HDMI) nor optical out. Never mind, video connection easy and good picture. Progressive scan great.
** Important ** the unlock code for this unit differs to the predecessors (340E and 350E). Open the drawer, and use remote control to type "2-4-0-3-9-6-0-9" setting unit to all regions. If you look at the screen when you type the last digit you will see "9" appear briefly (all regions).
If you need a specific region for a RCA encoded disk substitute the region of the disk for the "9" at the end e.g.: 24039602 for region 2.
5 Stars would have been for the asking had it not been for the lack of S-VHS and quite a bright blue bar light that is on when the unit is switched on.
Hope this is useful to you.
Great player for the price
I bought this player to connect to a Tosh LCD screen, I think it is a great bit of kit for the price, but one thing they don't mention in the manual is that if you plan to hook it up with an HDMI cable (supplied free) you first need to connect with a scart lead (not supplied) to access the DVD's set up menu and then activate the HDMI socket.
Super player and excellent value
Superb player and excellent value for the price. Yes the blue light can be a bit annoying BUT if you want to turn it off then goto the menu, then go to rating and then across to dim ctrl and turn it off. Its a pain having to do this everytime, unless you like the light, but only takes a second. Overall I think it's one of the best on the market at the moment.
