Customer Reviews

WOW! This LCD TV is simply top ticket!!5
After reading the reviews on Amazon and double checking with the WHICH magazine for their review it became obvious the Panasonic LCD TV was the one to purchase. So purchased the TV via Amazon on the weekend and it arrived today (Tuesday) by 8am!! Well I can tell you that the reviews I read on this TV are spot on because this TV is superb in sound and vision! If after a 26" LCD TV then it's easy - GET THIS ONE!!!

Cracking television - make sure you use HDMI5
I bought this TV for £420 in January to go with the EX77 HDD/DVD recorder. Once connected up with a decent HDMI cable it is brilliant. I really recommend that you invest in a HDMI cable. For a couple of days until the cable arrived they were connected by scart. The quality of the TV picture means that you really can tell the difference. It also stops any faffing around with RGB/Video/component settings.

The sound is also pretty good, without being truly stunning - but for quality music-based programmes I use my Quad amp and Mission speakers. The only gripe I have is that the phono audio outputs aren't controlled by the volume control. Just means I have to get off my backside to change the volume on my amp (no remote control!).

But I'm just being picky - and this won't effect many users.

It's really intuitive to use; it automatically gets the picture ratio right on older programmes (like old Top Gears on Dave). And, if you still prefer old Ceefax to the new one, you can still use the analogue tuner for that. I love the way you can go through the sub-pages at your speed, not having to read quickly in case it moves to the next one.

All in all a great television. At around the £420 mark it was terrific value for what is a premium product.

panasonic TX-26LMD lcd TV4
This is our first experience of lcd TV. The TV is great looking; good picture with only a little smearing when camera moving e.g. sport (probably we notice it because we're used to a traditional cathode ray TV). It's very easy to use and has lots of adjustment settings for colour, brightness, sharpness etc. Only one thing; there are only 2 scart sockets and only one of those is suitable with use for video/DVD, the other is for satellite etc, so we had to use a multi scart device. Apart from that very happy with this. Amazon delivery was excellent, came when it said, and price beat all the other net and shop prices I could find.
