Manufacturer's Description
Panasonic's V-real collection of leading-edge imaging technologies has evolved into the V-real II and V-real Pro II systems. These new technologies combine expertise gained in developing the high-definition cameras used to broadcast the Olympics Games with advanced authoring technologies developed at the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory (PHL).

Every system, device and component in VIERA reflects Panasonic's relentless pursuit of superior image quality from every angle. The result is video reproduction that reaches the level of art.

In addition to inheriting the video control for each field from previous models, VIERA incorporates Clear Picture technology that provides finer video control for each image pattern. This newly developed Panasonic technology also improves "pure red" and "clear blue" reproduction, so you enjoy clear, vibrant images with vivid colours and remarkable depth.

Sub-Pixel Controller technology sharpens images by correcting the contours of each dot. Afterimages (hold time) in moving pictures have been reduced by about 50% compared with our previous models. This minimizes blurriness and provides smoother, sharper reproduction of fast-moving images.
VIERA is ideal for viewing action movies or watching baseball games, football games, and broadcasts of other sports.

Cant be bettered at the price5
I have never written a five star review before, on the grounds that almost everything can be improved upon, but I am willing to make an exception for this extrodinary piece of equipment. When reading Amazon reviews, you must always keep in mind that the person writing it wants to feel good about the purchase, or is so hacked of with it that they need to vent their rage, so that is why the site has so many five and one star reviews and because of this they are not always reliable. For this purchase I looked on the Which website to get more detailed and reliable information.

This television was rated the best buy out of seventy LCD and plasma televisions currently on sale in the UK, taking into account picture quality, sound quality, ease of use and power consumption. It had the same score as the Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD7 which has a list price of a hundred and twenty pounds less. As it turns out, Amazon are charging sixty pounds more for the television with the higher list price, so I went for the TX-32LMD70 (it has two HDMI instead of one and a VGA input which the TX-32LDX7 does not have).

Since receiving it I have connected it to my Pioneer DVD player (component), Sky box (SCART) and Macbook (VGA), and I am amazed at the results. Everything is far better than I have seen and heard on other sets. According to the review I read, prior to purchasing the set, it excels when showing high definition; I have not tried this, but if the results for the other inputs are anything to go by, it will be exceptional.

    The set up used:

    Brightness 41/63
    Contrast 52/63
    Colour 32/63
    Picture Profile Normal
    Sharpness 3/6
    Colour balance Cool
    Colour Management On
    PNR Off

These settings were recommended and I've found them to be worth using.

    Superb value for money5
We fancied upgrading our 10 year old CRT Sony widescreen TV when we upgraded to Sky+ and naturally I asumed I'd be buying another Sony. First of all I checked out the reviews on Which and was very surprised to see the Panasonic as the best buy recommendation, the review was based on the quality of the TV which received a score of 80%, factor in the £500 price tag and it was unmissable.

I bought via Amazon later that day and my new TV was installed and our children were viewing by 8:45am less than 48 hours later. Set up was easy and we were impressed by the security features where you add your name and address to the TV's memory in case of theft and subsequent recovery.

Very good picture, sport and nature programmes have been particularly good. Only critisism is that blacks could be a shade "blacker" - but we're not complaining. A great buy!

    Umissable Value5
Like the previous reviewer, checked with Which and hey presto Amazon delivered in next to no time. Our TV was 15 years old so the jump to Widescreen and razor sharp images had us in awe!

Set up is a dream, we live in a "difficult" Freeview area and the internal receiver knocks the socks of our set top box which was by no means a cheap one.

Now we connect the laptop and hey presto we're watching High Definition clips legally available online.

    You won't be disappointed :-)
