Does what it says on the box5
At this price this is a really cheap way of not only getting into digital tv with freeview but with HDMI output? The images look brilliant on an HD ready LCD TV. The colours are far more "normal" than standard scart from a basic SKY box and the clarity is spot on, particularly noticeable on BBC's nature programs. Believe me I've used a split screen comparison between HDMI and SKY (Scart) and there is a clear difference in favour of the Goodmans. As a past repairer of monitors, I know what I'm looking for in picture quality and for this price, it's a steal!

Great value and ideal for my Mum!5
I don't know what some people expect, honestly. I bought this as a birthday present for my Mum as she has been going on about getting freeview for ages. It was really quick and easy to set up (I reckon my Mum could have managed it herself actually, and she's 73)and it works perfectly. At the moment she only has a fairly old CRT television so the upscaling doesn't come into the equation, but if at any time she upgrades the TV at least it is ready for it. No complaints here - for the money its a great bit of kit, well worth purchasing. And for the record, I think Sagem stuff is absolute PANTS!!! (I have had a Sagem phone and Freeview, and they were both rubbish, both were returned for refund)
And why would anyone think this works on a satellite dish??? DER! I guess it takes all sorts.......

    Good piece of equipment4
The difference between scart and HDMI on my 23" LCD television was much greater than I thought. Although the "scart" picture quality is not bad at all, the "HDMI" picture is simply much better. The upscaling works well and bring a lot more clarity to the picture you're seeing. The only slightly annoying issue I found is that the remote control needs to be exactly pointed to the box itself, otherwise you'll have trouble switching channels.

The manual could be better, but it is almost as simple as plug and play. Plug it in correctly and it'll pretty much sort itself out.
