Customer Reviews

This great TV seems to do it all5
I have just taken delivery of this TV after waiting 2 months for it to come into stock, but it was worth the wait.
Not only does the TV look great, it does everything you could ever want of a TV:
- It has digital (freeview) and analogue tuners.
- It plays DVDs (including DivX and MP3).
- It displays photos via the built in card reader (SD, MMS and MS).
- It plays AVI movies (on a USB drive) via the USB port.
- It can be connected to a PC for use as a monitor.
- It has every port you can possibly imagine on the back (HDMI, SCART, Common Interface, TV Aerial Input, PC Input, Audio Input, S-Video, Composite Video and YPBPR).
It is quite easy to set up, although the instructions are a little patchy in places and the remote control is not as intuitive as it could be. Never-the-less it is a superb TV and comes highly recommended.

Multi-faceted LCD TV5
I ordered this TV on Thursday night and it arrived on the Saturday at 9:30am! Out the box, plugged in and working in five minutes - much to the delight of my kids! Please note that no aerial cable is provided.

We bought it as a second TV for the kitchen/sitting room at the back of the house, and it's ideal. The built-in DVD precludes the need for extra boxes and the radio, (via Freeview), means we don't need a box taking up work surfaces either.

We've usually stuck to Panasonic for our TVs in the past, but I saw a 19" Daewoo in a hotel room and was impressed by the picture and build quality. It has enough sockets to keep a nerd like me happy - although I haven't tried plugging my laptop in yet - and the remote is fairly straightforward, if a little obscure in places. I was able to use both my MMC card from my PDA and my USB pen drive, (both filled with music), once I'd worked out how to access them. If all else fails read the instructions!

I'd read reviews elsewhere about poor picture quality and difficulty with volume levels, but I'd have to say that I've not had any problems with those things.

Overall I'd give the product 5 stars, because it's exactly what we were looking for. Obviously it's only been running for a couple of days, and if any issues arise I'll put up a further posting. I find that I'm coming to rely on customer reviews for most of the kit I buy these days, so keep posting!

October 2009 - Having been running this TV for nearly two years, I thought I'd add to my review as promised. There is an issue with differing volume levels. I usually have it set around the 20 mark to watch my Freeview box, (Humax 9200T via SCART and now a Topfield 5810t via HDMI - it's a long story), and I change the volume with the Freeview box remote. When I watch a DVD however, the volume needs to be ramped up the around 35 - 40, but if I go onto the DVT internal tuner the volume has to be rolled right down. It's a minor issue, but a pain when the kids don't remember to alter the volumes.

The remote died about six months ago, and I ordered a replacement from AVUK Ltd. The one that came didn't have the same button mat and designations, but it was straighforward to crack open the old remote and transfer the new board and button mat across.

So, in conclusion, after two years I still think this TV is a fine piece of kit for the money.

Not bad purchase, controls a bit confusing though4
Bought this television to replace an aging CRT we had in our bedroom and rid us of all the clutter of separate Freeview box and DVD player. Overall, very impressed with the overall package: 22" lcd tv, dvd player and freeview in one box, with the additional bonus of USB and SD inputs so we can view our digital camera pictures and listen to our mp3 albums.
My only critism would be the not so easy to use remote control to change from 1 source to another, why couldn't they have just have included buttons on the remote/tv to quickly change from 1 source to another without haveing the hassle of scrolling through a menu and selecting the different options?
This may only be a minor fly in the ointment of an otherwise superb package at an excellent price, so if this doesn't bother you, and to be honest it is a rather minor issue, then I would recommend this tv to anyone.
Not a bad product, but always room for improvement!
