The LH3000 series introduces the greener side of innovation. The LH3000 series is not only HD Ready 1080p but is also certified by the Energy Saving Trust for saving you money off your electricity bills.

HD Ready 1080p
LG HD Ready 1080p (Full HD) provides 1920 x 1080p picture resolution Delivering incredible picture clarity and vibrant colours. This results in up to 5 times the picture clarity and detail in comparison to standard definition. 1080p television is the only way to fully experience the true potential of high definition gaming and Blu-ray, taking you even closer to the action.

x3 HDMI
Connect your games console, blu-ray player or home cinema system through the 3 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports for a true High Definition multimedia experience.

AV Mode
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control. Cinema Mode - Watch movies with vivid colour, smoother motion and cinematic sound effect. Sport Mode – Takes you closer to the action by emphasising the main colours and reducing motion blur. Game Mode – Optimises the TV for computer and / or games console for a more dynamic gaming experience.

Freeview/Digital
With LG, you’ll be ready for the digital switchover. By 2012, all areas of the UK will receive TV in digital as opposed to analogue. Freeview is a subscription free service which brings up to 48 digital TV channels including ITV2, E4, BBC3, and Film4, plus 24 digital radio stations, no contract and no satellite dish.

To check if you can receive Freeview in your area, text your postcode followed by your house number or name to 83331* or visit www.freeview.co.uk

Invisible Speaker
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field. This speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs.

Energy Saving Recommended
LG TVs help you save money and the environment. An Energy Saving Recommended Integrated Digital Television (IDTV) can save around £7 a year and 20 kilograms of CO2 each year compared to a similar TV and set top box; they are amongst the most efficient in their class. There are over 16 million terrestrial digital TV receivers in the UK, and if these were upgraded to IDTVs it would save around £112 million in energy bills.

With energy-saving features such as ‘Video Mute’, mechanical power-off switch and ‘Intelligent Sensor’, LG has one of the largest ranges of TVs registered to the Energy Saving Trust’s Energy Saving Recommended scheme. To gain entry to the Energy Saving Recommended scheme products have to meet strict criteria to ensure that they are amongst the most efficient in the market place. Fully satisfied5
It was finally time for us to go fully digital and retire our analogue TV. We're very pleased by the 32LH3000. It seems to be an excellent product at a very reasonable price. We've been using it for standard definition digital TV, DVDs, and Xbox gaming. Everything on it has worked just as it should have, right from the start.

The picture quality is excellent; the colours seem rich and bright; sound fills the modest size living room very comfortably. It was easy to set up and the on-screen instructions were clear and easy to follow. The electronic programme guide is responsive and well designed as are all of the on-screen menus. This is a stark contrast with the Samsung HDD that we also use. The freeview tuner on the 32LH3000 is also more accurate and sensitive than the Samsung. It gives clearer images with fewer digital artefacts.

The set also offers excellent connectivity including 3 HDMI inputs, two component HD, two SCART, antenna, RCA and 3mm sound, headphone and more. The input and output layout is sensibly designed, a cable catcher keeps the many cables tidy, and the swivel stand enables us to access a set of inputs and outputs around the back, but accessible from the side. This keeps them out of sight, but leaves the accessible - great for gaming devices and headphones. I love the thoughtful feature of being able to select a label for each input selector (e.g., Games for one HDMI input, DVD for another). LG has the nicest design of the (many) remotes that we have. It is simple and clean with clearly labelled buttons and a battery cover that is tethered to the remote and doesn't fall off when dropped.

Altogether, the 32LH3000 purchased through Amazon has been a superb consumer experience. They both delivered the goods.

    Fab!5
Delighted with this. Easy to set up, lovely picture, sound quality excellent. Should add here that I am aged 60, female, and had no problems at all doing everything (including unpacking) myself. Beautifully clear instructions, set-up a doddle. No hesitation at all in recommending this product to anyone.

    Great for gaming5
OK - I can't talk about the digital TV features, since I'm just using it for gaming. What I can say, though, is that if you're looking for a high-contrast, high-resolution panel which is the perfect size for computer games, you need look no further.

There's two major advantages this TV has; firstly, its 50,000:1 contrast ratio, which means that white areas on the screen are fifty thousand times brighter than black areas. Cheaper 32" sets tend to be much lower, around 18,000:1 or even below 1000:1 for the supermarket resales. The higher ratio on this set gives the picture a lot more depth.

Its second advantage is its 1920x1080 resolution. Many TV sets are marketed as 'HD Ready' or 'Full HD' - what you need to look for is the actual resolution, and this set has pixels in spades. It also has LG's 'XD Engine' chipset to clean up and improve picture quality, but if you're using this to play games on you want to turn it off and get your console to scale the image instead - the Xbox 360 has the ANA chip for exactly this purpose, and it's a lot faster and less laggy. Game Mode is there for exactly this purpose.

Other features? Well, it has a nice Picture Wizard setting tuning menu, which helps you to set the picture up just how you like it; the base has a pixot in the middle to let you turn the screen up to about 20 in either direction, which is helpful. It also has an on/off switch as well as a standby button for the energy-conscious among us, and an energy-saving mode too. The speakers are great but a tiny bit lacking in the lower-end - add a 2.1 speaker system for £40 if you're gaming or watching films - but then again, this is a lot better than my subwoofer at keeping the neighbours happy!

I paid £370 for this TV in August 2009; I've given it a thorough going-over, and I can say that it's definately a bargain. Quality-wise, it outperforms everything else under £450, and it's easy to use to boot. Buy it!
