L7LH4000 HD Ready 1080p
LG HD Ready 1080p (Full HD) provides 1920 x 1080p picture resolution Delivering incredible picture clarity and vibrant colours. This results in up to 5 times the picture clarity and detail in comparison to standard definition. 1080p television is the only way to fully experience the true potential of high definition gaming and Blu-ray, taking you even closer to the action.

LG TV Intelligent Sensor Technology built-in. View Larger

TruMotion 100Hz
TruMotion 100Hz can reduce blurring on fast moving scenes by displaying one hundred images per second. Standard TV sets only display fifty images per second so more information means higher quality.

Intelligent Sensor
With Intelligent Sensor, the TV picture automatically adjusts when room conditions change. Intelligent Sensor optimises the brightness, sharpness, colour and contrast of the picture within your viewing environment. This helps to protect against eyestrain, and the TV will use up to 69.5% less power (TUV tested).

Freesat HD
Freesat brings you over 140 great digital TV and radio channels. Favourites like BBC Three, BBC Four, ITV2, ITV3, More 4 and Film Four are all yours, with no contract and no monthly bills. Plus freesat offers up to 70 hours a week of HD from the BBC and ITV at no extra cost.

Freeview/Digital
With LG, you’ll be ready for the digital switchover. By 2012, all areas of the UK will receive TV in digital as opposed to analogue. Freeview is a subscription free service which brings up to 48 digital TV channels including ITV2, E4, BBC3 and Film4, plus 24 digital radio stations, no contract and no satellite dish.

To check if you can receive Freeview in your area, text your postcode followed by your house number or name to 83331* or visit www.freeview.co.uk.

Invisible Speaker
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field. This speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs.

x3 HDMI
Connect your games console, blu-ray player or home cinema system through the 3 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports for a true High Definition multimedia experience.

USB
The USB 2.0 feature allows you to connect a USB mass storage device to your LG product in order to play audio (MP3) files and display JPEG images.

AV Mode
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control. Cinema Mode - Watch movies with vivid colour, smoother motion and cinematic sound effect. Sport Mode – Takes you closer to the action by emphasising the main colours and reducing motion blur. Game Mode – Optimises the TV for computer and / or games console for a more dynamic gaming experience.

Energy Saving Recommended
LG TVs help you save money and the environment. An Energy Saving Recommended Integrated Digital Television (IDTV) can save around £7 a year and 20 kilograms of CO2 each year compared to a similar TV and set top box; they are amongst the most efficient in their class. There are over 16 million terrestrial digital TV receivers in the UK, and if these were upgraded to IDTVs it would save around £112 million in energy bills.

With energy-saving features such as ‘Video Mute’, mechanical power-off switch and ‘Intelligent Sensor’, LG has one of the largest ranges of TVs registered to the Energy Saving Trust’s Energy Saving Recommended scheme. To gain entry to the Energy Saving Recommended scheme products have to meet strict criteria to ensure that they are amongst the most efficient in the market place. Check www.est.org.uk for more information.

    Better than my Brother-in-Laws £5000 set..5
No kidding it really is better than his 5 grand set. Although I must admit that his set is nearly 2 years old now, never the less his is fully HD compat with a seperate tuner/dvd/hdd.
Oh!, and his dosen't have freesat either...

The picture is superb on the LF7700, the sat tuner is really sensitive and I have been able to tune both the "freesat" service at 28.2 degrees and Arabsat ARD6 I think at 28.0 degrees without having to move the 45cm dish.
Loads of control for personal sound and video settings, USB card reader for viewing photographs and listening to Mp3's.

There is a network RJ45 socket on the rear for future use, streaming video via internet/freesat according to the bumf..

Nothing wrong with the sound either, loads of bass from the downfacing speakers and the highs are catered for by "hidden speakers around the frame. I suffer from Tinitus and have found listening to the set a lot easier than our previous Sony 32" bravia.

A nice touch too is the swiveling base/stand, facilitates easy removal and plugging in of cables. 3 HDMI sockets, 2 Scart, composite video and RGB inputs, 15 pin VGA for the old computer too, plenty of scope there. SPdif audio out, shame I don't have a decent sound system with SPdif input...

All in all a great set. I am highly delighted as is my wife, she actually stays up to watch programmes on it, rather than watch the tv in our bedroom, as she used to.

    Awesome TV5
I have spent ages looking at TVs pondering which one to buy and why and trying to understand the different models and codes. Eventually I decided on the LG 42 because it had the best picture in the local supermarket. I haven't got a digital ariel but do have a sat dish so I bought this model expecting to use the free sat to get the free channels and also to upgrade to Sky HD. Now I've got the TV it has tuned in 117 digital channels easily and the picture is so good I'm wondering if I really need the HDTV subscription or the free sat, I will probably hook up the freesat to see what the free HD channels are like and then make a decision. I am seriously impressed with the picture and the sound quality, plus the whole ease of use. The fact that it swivels to give you access to the plugs and cables is a real bonus. The WII also looks great, even thought it doesn't support HD and is only going through a scart. The kids want to be on the WII all the time and the best thing is when we're all on it and you only get a quarter of the screen it's big enough for you to really enjoy it. Very, very pleased with this. It has exceeded my expectations.

Superb product with excellent features would recommend this to anyone who has Sky HD or a HD DVD player, picture quality is out of this world.
