Manufacturer's Description
Their world is melting and your Ice Age pals need help escaping the biggest flash flood in prehistory. Swim, splash and scurry through all the action and adventure from the new Ice Age 2 movie and unearth fun, laughter and surprises along the way.

The Ice Age is ending and our subzero heroes return in this action adventure video game set in a melting paradise of water parks, geysers and tar pits. Manny the Mammoth, Sid the Sloth and Diego the Sabre-Toothed Tiger are back and realise that the melting glaciers will soon flood their valley. With the help of everyone's favourite sabre-toothed squirrel from the first movie, Scrat, help your big friends cross the perilous landscape to safety.

Scrat will dig, swim, sniff, spin and roll his in his never-ending quest to collect acorns. In the process, he serves as the unwitting hero in the quest to save the land from a giant flood.

Better than expected4
I didn't expect much from this as a movie franchise game. We bought 3 games when we got the DS and this has been played with the most. It is surprisingly addictive and I often find myself stealing away for a sneaky game when my kids have put it down for 5 minutes. I like the way that you play each of the 3 main characters in turn, swapping between them in order to perform different actions. Some levels are quite tough, unless you are lucky to happen upon the particular little creature who is the key to the next level. That does make for a little unevenness between the levels because you can blunder around aimlessly trying to find the little blighter for hours on one level and trip over him straight away on others.

The music complements the game nicely and the mini-games make good use of the touch screen (although I'm not sure I completely understand the game where you have creatures carrying cards with pictures on their backs). Overall, a nice little game to while away a few hours.

Fun at first3
It was quite fun and addictive at first. . . but then it just gets a bit boring because you're always doing the same thing throughout the game.

the company1
the company do not ship out ice age 2. I recieved an old video that was nothing like what i ordered, my advice is to leave this product and not to even consider buying it.
