Synopsis
After 7 years of frustrating near misses and despite their near total dominance of the sport in the Northern Hemisphere, England's rugby union team had still not managed to complete the 'Grand Slam' under coach Clive Woodward . Victory over France in the opening match of the 2003 Six Nations tournament raised expectations, and the campaign climaxed with the final day, winner-takes-all game against Ireland. This release features that complete performance (in which England finally were victorious) plus highlights of the preceding encounters with France, Wales, Scotland and Italy.

Stunning achievement
The DVD features Englands first Six Nations Grand Slam triumph, in a well-thought manner. England's victory over Ireland in Dublin was a huge achievement and a stunning performance that was noticed the world over, but the preceding five games lacked the fluidity, control and precision with which England have often played recently. Having said that, every game had its moments, and thankfully they are all here. There's highlights of all the games, and a seperate disc to show the splendour of winning away to Ireland and sealing the Grand Slam.

This should be a five-star disc then, but it is let down by poor camera angles on many of the plays and general poor presentation. Regardless, as a crucial part in a superb run by a superb group of Englishmen, this should be in any patriotic persons collection, and the quality of the Ireland England game should mean many rugby fans will have led the way already.

The Best Grand Slam Ever
I thought that this dvd was very good. it came in 2 discs the first is highlights from all of the England Six Nations matches this was very good and you can never get tired of robo's try against Scotland or Lewsey's against Italy but i feel they should have put more bits in. the 2nd disc is the entire of the Ireland match this was also excellent but the cameras were not as good in this match as they were in all of the other matches but still a gripping game to a gripping end to their campaign. BUT if you are a rugby fan then this is definetely a dvd for you.

England Grand Slam Heroes
I aint seen this yet but for any hardcore rugby fans this is a must. Four years have passed with the Grand Slam being within our grasps four times and on each of those occasions eluding them. But at last England have claimed the coveted Grand Slam along with the triple crown, the calcutta cup and the six nations trophy. From the very start of the tournament they got from bad to the best performance in the final crunch game with Ireland.
