Synopsis
Two of the hottest genres merge together in this sizzling vampire erotica. Natalie Lambert's life has changed in the space of weeks - and she has no idea why. Her parents were murdered, she has her first taste of sexual desire - and she feels out of control, afraid, desperate to understand her changing world. She flees to New Orleans, hoping to lure the murderer out of the dark and bring to an end the trail of dead loved ones. Instead, she's attacked by crazed birds, swarmed by locusts, and saved by a Cajun cop who awakens all her latent desires. When Rene Broussard rescues a virgin vampire, he ends up in her bed and becomes hers for life in one lusty bite. Rene awakens the vampire within Natalie, and she awakes the passion within him. Together, they fight the evil threatening to destroy The Born vampires while they discover a treasure of love they can share for all eternity.

Big yawn1
Like the previous reviewer, I was disappointed at this book from the usually excellent Delilah Devlin. The author was so caught up in writing the sex that she forgot essential elements like characterisation and the conclusion of the plot; what there was of a plot was clearly an afterthought, as it was rushed, and not at all fleshed out. I found myself skipping the sex scenes which where the main part of the book, desperately looking for the story, where there clearly wasn't one.

Not another erotic vampire novel set in New Orleans....Yawn2
Into the Darkness was a speculative buy while waiting for other books to be published and released, I have to say that it wasn't a good choice. I commenced reading it with anticipation hoping it would hold me to end, like J.R Wards, Brothers or Sherrilyn Kenyons, Dark Hunters. Maybe I set the standard too high, but this book failed to deliver on many levels. There was no character building, let alone world building, a narrative lost in sex (I'll get back to that later), and a weak narrative at that. Oh and it's set in New Orleans...does every Vampire/Supernatural book have to be set in New Orleans. There are so many incarnate creatures wondering around a fictional New Orleans, I truly doubt there are enough mortals to go around!

This book wanted to be so much more, (I expect like every other Vampire romance/erotic novel out there), but it did not even stand alone. For me it joins an ever increasing pile of supernatural romance/erotic fiction that fails to leave a mark.

I was going to rate this book one star, but I gave it two, due to the sexual content. Was it erotic? Yes, but severely boring, and duplicated. Back to my comment above, there was so much sex in this book that it clouded the narrative, in a pre and post coital mist. Even then the erotic scenes were based on vanilla sex with a smattering of kink. This is an Avon Red publication so expect it to be heavy in erotic content. However, these paragraphs were tiresome. If you want erotic fiction to get your rocks off with, there are plenty other writers and publishers who do it better. If you wanted a gripping Vampire Horror/romance this isn't the book for you. For me this book is destined to prop up a leg on a wobbly table.

Eroticaaaaa5
This is a great read it is hot and spicy everything you want. The plot is good the only downside is there are so many unanswered questions that leave you kinda hanging. But the sex scenes are great with lots of twists and turns.
