About the Author
Ben MacFarlane graduated in medicine from Imperial College, London in 1998 and started carrying out medical repatriations in the spring of 2001. He then spent a year working on the cruise ship circuit and now works full time in a west London teaching hospital. HOLIDAY SOS is his first book. (20090621)

A good read
This is an ideal book for anyone who enjoys travelling or enjoys reading about the medical profession.
For a subject that could be quite mundane and boring, the author has injected humour into in and a story that keeps you reading and not wanting to put the book down.

If you enjoy this book, Air Babylon is also good

brilliant - witty and amusing
What an excellent read. I was totally engrossed.The author had many excellent stories to tell and recounted these tales with wit and humour. one of the best summer holiday books I have read!

Holiday SOS - interesting vignettes
This is a book by somebody who is not a natural author, he is a doctor who does medical repatriations for insurance companies. I found the book very interesting and difficult to put down.
