If your resolutions tend to look much the same from one year to another and you are suffering from the suspicion that someone, somewhere is having more fun that you, then you need something to revitalise your lust for life. A YEAR IN HIGH HEELS is here to help.
This book will guide you through the months with a perfectly co-ordinated combination of culture and challenges. With a monthly muse to inspire, and a suggested title for that soon-to-be-formed book club, dumbing down is so last season.
Erin O'Connor, Diane von Furstenberg, Matthew Williamson and others share their secrets about their favourite places - so the next time you check in you'll know what to check out - while Dita von Teese, Anya Hindmarch and Christian Lacroix show you how to undress, how to go green and how to appreciate opera.
Eclectic, practical and fantastical, A YEAR IN HIGH HEELS is crammed with fascinating stories, inspiring ideas and surprisingly sensible advice.
Forget who, when, why and what to wear. Get ready to wow!
Foreword by Manolo Blahnik.

Customer Reviews
They had to change to name of the book - definitely a sign it was a flop!
How to Walk in High Heels was one of those amazing breakout books that every writer dreams of for their debut. It was on sale everywhere - clothing shops, record shops, even on Virgin trains!! It was the type of book everyone bought their friends for Christmas (me included).
However, A Year in High Heels is a different story. When this came out in hardcover, it was called A Girl For All Seasons. I assume sales did not go to plan, and a familiar title and pink cover was called upon for the paperback release.
This book has some good things going for it. Like its predecessor, there are some obscure wonderful facts in there. For example, Coco Chanel's initials on lamp posts throughout W1 in London. I lived in the city for two years, and never noticed. Now I seem to notice them every day. (Thanks Camilla!)
However, the format of the book is impossible - the premise is that you read a chapter a month. Now, as someone who reads a book in a day - a week at most - this just isn't going to happen. You can try reading the whole thing in one go - as per your usual reading habits - but strangely this feels wrong, reading 'November' when its only 'July'. Sort of like eating all the chocolate out of your advent calendar in advance.
Not totally fabulous
A fun read, very inspirational BUT ... I found the frequent spelling and grammatical mistakes very irritating. Also, some of her information is plain WRONG. Since when did Streisand win an Oscar for Funny Face? I could go on with more but only hope that the book is edited properly before going to paperback.
Fabulous Darling!
I'm totally resolved to being fabulous from now on and this book has become my bible - along with The Shopaholics Guide to Buying Fashion and Beauty Online (so I can even shop from work!) These books have fully equipped me with all the skills and know-how to be beautiful and glamorous at all times. Every New Year I say I'm going to sort myself out (i.e. get thin, get gorgeous and get style), but this year I will succeed! These books have become the glamorous, stylish and helpful older sister I never had.
