Product Description

If you’re idling somewhere in wardrobe limbo, getting to stylish can be a long haul. And all second-hand shoppers face the same problem. There are so many pieces to be had, the natural impulse is to buy, buy, buy, simply because it’s so much fun, fun, fun. This quickly leads to wardrobe overload – a collection of clothing that is ‘eclectic’ to put it kindly, and ‘one big mishmash’, to put it honestly. But armed with insider secrets about recognising quality and how to dress to suit your figure, you can transform your look.

Whether rummaging in a charity shop, browsing in an antiques market or scouring the internet in search of the perfect 1940s jacket, an original Ozzie Clarke or something to add a twist to a high street outfit, you’ll find this guide to buying and wearing vintage indispensable.

Full of fantastic stories and useful information, this is the perfect companion for anyone who loves clothes (and bags and shoes!) The next time you’re complimented on a unique outfit wonderfully accessorized, simply reply, ‘It’s Vintage, Darling!’

Passion for Fashion5
This book is extremely well researched and written. It feels like she wants you to know every single thing there is to know about fashion, without holding anything back. You can really sense her passion. It covers all eras, has famous people writing their opinion on their subject of choice throughout the book, care for clothes etc. Very comprehensive. Only downside I would say is that I wish there were pictures to accompany literature especially details about stitch quality etc- would have been helpful to see what she was talking about for the less initiated and non-fashion-student people like myself.
Another thing also is I wouldn't buy her other book if I've already got this as they have very similar content, so either get one or the other.
