The Iceman is a hottie
After reading each romance of this series at least twice, and pondering on it a while, I've come to the conclusion that Caressed by Ice is my favourite installment in the phenomenal Psy/Changeling series so far. And the reason? Two words: Judd Lauren.

The delectable ex-assassin manages to be icy cool and blisteringly hot at the same time. As a member of the analytical Psy race, he's lived all his life devoid of emotion, affection, and human contact. But when he falls for Brenna Kincaid, he makes the decision to suffer the agonising dissonance caused by his Conditioning, just to be with her and feel her touch. He has never been intimate with anyone, and it was both refreshing and extremely sexy to witness the role reversal in this relationship. Brenna (a wolf changeling) is the sensual, experienced one and Judd is the virgin. But, oh boy, does he learn fast. The love scenes in this book are mind-blowing; Nalini Singh went all out for our lovable Iceman. Their relationship is so emotional and touching that i'm amazed anyone can craft such a beautiful story. Added to what i've already outlined, we get to spend some time in the SnowDancer pack and witness how they interact with each other, Brenna learns to heal after her ordeal in Slave To Sensation, and there's a mystery to solve. Not to mention even more incredible world building and advancement concerning the plans of the Psy Council. Phew. It was one hell of a read. Now I have to read it all again!

Caressed By Ice by Nalini Singh is the story of Judd a Psy Arror and Brenna a Changling. Nalini answers the questions about Brenna after being attacked in the 2nd book in this series. But Ms. Singh went above and beyond all expectations. You'll loved how even though Judd tried not to feel anything for Brenna that he couldn't help himself and couldn't keep away from her. And you'll be looking forward to more stories in this series with anticipation!! I would also recommend Tino Georgiou's bestselling novel--The Fates--if you haven't yet!

The best in the Psy/Changeling series yet!
I loved Caressed by Ice, even more than Slave to Sensation and Visions of Heat, which is saying something 'cause I still regularly re-read those. Judd and Brenna (only bad point are those names, sometimes I would just start laughing in the middle of a serious scene) share what seems a really equal relationship in a way that Sascha/Lucas and Faith/Vaughn just didn't quite get to. Brenna regularly pushes Judd off-balance and Judd challenges Brenna. This means that the occasional mild domination element doesn't jar as much. I won't give you a synopsis 'cause previous reviews have done that, will just end with the fact that, beyond a small pacing problem and an end that is a whisker away from being rushed, it is fantastic story and you'll be genuinely elated when it all ends well *sigh* Ain't psy/changeling love grand?
