Customer Reviews

Practical, easy to read and full of insight5
I came to this book knowing virtually nothing about hypnotherapy, and I found it immensely helpful. I don't see how the authors could have done more to bring their subject alive, in a practical and engaging way. Strongly recommended.

Excellent book for an easy reference guide to hypnotherapy. Great for training hypnotherapists. Really well set out and logical. I found it highly useful.

Extended patient information leaflet2
Two things bothered me about this book - firstly, it is very much pitched to the self-help market, i.e. solving your own problems, rather than being the introduction to the practice of hypnotherapy some other reviewers have implied. The second is that vast swathes of it are given over to a description of what to expect on your visit to see a hypnotherapist - something the authors heartily advocate as a prelude to doing anything by yourself (somewhat at odds with the self help feel). Very disappointed and found the constant sci-fi references hugely geeky. 2 stars because I'm obviously not the target market - had I picked this up in a bookstore I would have put it back on the shelf rather than having to buy and then return it as I have done.
