Product Description

Packed with activities including colouring, cutting and pasting, this book should engage creative kids both big and small. Taro Gomi provides readers with the bare bones of a sketch or outline, which they are then encouraged to expand upon by means of an instruction at the top of the page. For example, the outline of a fish tank is accompanied by the suggestion to "draw a fish"; disembodied heads, hands and feet require bodies and clothes; empty speech bubbles beg to be filled in; masks and boxes can be coloured in and cut out.

Not just for kids!!5
I got this book after reading a review for it in the trendy i-D magazine. What a treat! My other half didn't know what was funniest - the book or my excitement at it! It is filled with things to do - speech bubbles to fill in, body parts to draw, shapes to colour, never a dull moment and such a big book as well. Although I am in my 30s, I was completely enchanted by it, as it isn't done in a particularly childish way. Now I'm just waiting for my jumbo pack of Crayola crayons bought on Ebay to arrive so I can get started!! Its very therapeutic and creative after a hard days graft. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! Get a book and have some serious fun!

A must for long plane journeys...5
A fantastic book for 5-8 year olds (and dads too!) - encouraging the imagination with little suggestions, but not overpowering or stiffling creativity...hours and hours of fun

Bargain !5
If you have a child who loves colouring / drawing this book is a must. It's also helped reduce the number of stray, part finished masterpieces which tend to litter the house following the last creative session!
