Disappointing
Only buy this book if you wish to give up drinking altogether. It is not designed to help you cut down to recommended limits - any alcohol at all is frowned upon. It is a very light-weight book (reflected in the price) and not up to the giving up smoking original.

Condascending, unhelpful rubbish
I wondered why this "book" was so cheap, and having read it I realise it's because it was probably written, edited and published in about half an hour! Or at least that's how it felt to read it. It is rushed, preaching and full of very bad analogies that are not fit for purpose e.g. that of an ostrich sticking it's head in the ground. The blurb on the back of the book lies about the contents and says it will help you to manage your drinking which Carr has no design to do - only to make you a tee-totaller, all or nothing. This is shamelessly condascending nonsense that made me want to continue my drinking in protest! To think, the £5 I spent on this book could've bought me a vodka and coke!

BRILLIANT!
I have to say that for a problem as serious as alcohol addiction, you would never have thought that a small book like this could help. I can't believe it, I just don't want to drink at all. I would never have thought I could say that honestly.

Don't miss alcohol one bit and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Perfect. Thanks Alan
