Contradicts itself and other books2
I noticed that this book contradicts the information in one or two other GI books I've read. I'm not a medical expert, so I'm not qualified to tell you whether this book is more or less accurate than the books it contradicts. But I noticed two alarming things that make me question the usefulness of this book:

1. It contains at least one contradiction; on page 54, it lists "chicken and mushroom pie, single crust" as a having a high Glycaemic Index and High Glycaemic Load, and on page 122, it lists the exact same item as having a low GI and low GL. It's entirely possible that I just happened to stumble on the only error in the book--but it makes me nervous.

2. It contains a fine print warning on the copyright page saying "Some values have been estimated based on similar foods." Given that two similar items can have different GIs, I'm not sure what to make of this warning.

Handy little guide3
Handy little book that has been invaluable since my husband went on a low GI/GL diet.
