Customer Reviews

Great book, really well writen5
Very happy with this purchase, I bought it to replace the Wrox Professional VB2005, which quite frankly is terrible. F Balena's explanations are very concise and easy to follow, and he points out best patterns and practices where appropriate. Also its refreshing to have a book where you are given genuinely useful code examples to demonstrate his point rather that contrived situations that youre never going to use. I should point out though that this is definitely not a book for complete beginners, although he does cover the basic language concepts etc, its very much a whistle-stop tour, and is mostly done to point out the differences from previous versions or the syntax for those who know another language.

The best VB book I own5
This is a brilliant book on VB. If you only ever buy 1 VB book, get this one. It is the only VB book I have that I return to time and again. It covers VB and using Visual Studio exhaustively, and provides good general programming guidlines and useful code samples. My copy is falling apart from continual use.
