Nick Robertson has become used to his grandmother Rosie's dotty behaviour. At 86, a widow now, she is determined that before life passes her by, she will live a little. Or, preferably, a lot. It wouldn't be so bad if Nick had nothing else to do, but with a job to find, two warring parents to cope with and a love life in terminal decline, he would prefer his grandmother to get on with things quietly. But, Rosie insists, there is no time like the present. Life is to be enjoyed to the full and to hell with the consequences. She'll help Nick find the soulmate he clearly lacks and he can help her make the most of her few remaining years. Alan Titchmarsh's sparkling new novel is a delicious blend of humour and romance, and a resounding affirmation that there is no such thing as the generation gap.

Rosie
Very easy to read book, has humour, romance and even tears. Enjoyed reading it and would read it again. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book and would recommend it.
I want to grow old disgracefully
At last a real feel good book. Its been a while since I had such an engaging read in my hot sticky paws. I couldn't put it down is over worked but I really did read this in one sitting. Such a lovely cast of characters I was genuinely pleased to get to know them. Please when I grow up, (not yet a while! after all I'm only just over half of Rosie's age - read the book and go figure. Oh and like Rosie I lie about my age) I want to grow up like Rosie, still enjoying life, right till the last minute.

If only life was this idle and love that easy. But whilst your reading the book life and love is like that and you can actually hear Alan reading it to you. A great escape
