Not his best work but still pretty damn good
If I was to recommend a Saul Williams book to you, it wouldn't be this one. Start with She, it has a far greater quantity and quality of poetry to read. Regardless of its comparative value this book still stands out as a pretty special volume of poetry. I think a little too much emphasis on female godhood narrows this truly unique and original piece of work. For all criticisms it remains an outstanding book of poetry.
Wow.
I'm not a fan of poetry, but Saul Williams changed all of that. You will spend hours pondering his metaphors, reflecting on his words, and just stunned by his skill and mastery of the English language. Buy this book, I cannot recommend it highly enough.
