Synopsis
Read on to catch up with more gossip-licious pleasure from the anonymous narrator who made her catty debut with "Gossip Girl" and has enthralled readers in the juicy sequels, "You Know You Love Me" and "All I Want is Everything". In "Because I'm Worth It", Gossip Girl dishes up more doses of hefty dirt on all her friends - New York's wealthiest private school teens. In fact, wintertime has never been hotter in NYC as things steam up all over Fifth Avenue. Sharp wit, intriguing characters, and high-stakes melodrama drive the action of this wildly popular series.
Customer Reviews
why can't we all live this glamorously?
I picked up this book on a recent trip to America as I had finished the books i had taken with me.
I picked it up without hesitation, only wanting something to keep me going for the next three days I was there.
Little did I know how good this book was going to be!
It is an amazingly written book with enough description to make you feel like you are actually sitting in an expensive New York coffee house watching these events unfold whilst sipping your grande extra light caramel mocha with foamed milk and cocoa powder, or whatever it is.
As soon as I got back, I immeditely went on the search for the rest of the series.
I absoulutely adore this book and the rest of the series and would definately say 'yes, buy it, buy it now!' to anyone who is unsure. It is the perfect set of books for everyone who would love just a taste of the high life where everyone has classic good looks and never has to worry about a thing.
Just go out and buy it!!
To read or not to read? That is the question...
This is definitely the book for you if you don't mind that the main character's a spoilt, snidey, sneaky snake. Sorry about all the s!
It's full of girls who have it all and take it completely for granted...guys who cheat on their girlfriends and suchlike. Serena, one of the main characters, is so lucky that it almost hurts, and every single thing in that book is either evil, or has an evil side. THIS BOOK IS ADDICTIVE. It may be incredibly rude, full of stoners and cokeheads, but it is great. You just can't stop reading, taking in all of the horribleness until there are no more words to read. I'd get it if I were you, but watch out, because this book is not the chick lit book that it looks like. Underneath the soft, sweet surface there is a core as hard and as cold as stone. These girls are so horrible it's unbelievable, but it is a nasty, guilty pleasure. Doesn't quite beat chocolate though!
omg best series EVER!!!!!!!
okay so i'm an american teenager living in london, england and i am just obsessed with these books. it totally sums up teenage life, but it comes from the lives of (mostly) rich kids in nyc. so its full of parties where they wear designer clothes and jewellry. and they shop at all of the best places like barneys, bendels, and bloomingdales. and all of the guys in the story are really hot or sweet. and like the girls and soooo pretty and popular and stuff. its the best EVER. i love all of the series and i'm about to read the fifth one and i bet that it will be great and i can't wait for the sixth one to come out. seriously read these books because they are the BEST!!!
