OK if you are missing one...
These guides are exactly the same as their larger counterparts, but shrunk down to paperback book size. When I say shrunk I mean that literally! Each page from the original A4 size books has been photo reduced to this new size. The upshot of this is that the writing is tiny, and I mean really tiny. It is at about the limit of what can be read without some sort of magnifying aid. This makes it quite difficult to read, and the screenshots are the size of postage stamps. The cheap quality of the paper used doesn't help the situation, nor does the fact that these books are not to scale so the pages are stretched by a fair bit vertically to make them fit the new page size.
These are ideal if you can't get hold of the originals (I was unable to get the Open for Business one) but are not really a replacement for them.
Also bear in mind that there are 2 more Expansion Packs for The Sims 2 yet to be released so this is not a 'complete' collection and the remaining 2 will probably never be released on their own at this size.
It is too good to be true
As there was no description of the item when I bought this I knew I was taking a risk. I was very disappointed with this item; subsequently I returned it straight away.
The guides are slightly bigger than A5 size and the print quality is awful. It looks as if someone whipped these up quick on a cheap photocopier and put a glossy cover on it to disguise it.
I'm sure the guides themselves are brilliant but I never even looked at the content as the quality of the product was so bad.
I thought this would be a good way to get all the Prima Guides at as low a price as possible but I think I'll just save and buy them individually or second hand.
PC Magazine cover guide???
After receiving these guides for my wife, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of these guides. The guides are of a quality of which would be given away FREE with computer magazines, which is to say, very poor paper, extremely hard to read. Although the size is given for the guides, no mention is made of an easily understandable size, eg. A4, A5. The fact that the guides are printed in black and white is not mentioned either. After looking at the Prima site ref. the guides, these facts are not mentioned. I think that Amazon should print a warning that these guides are only useful if your vision is over 100% perfect. This product is not recommended, and definitely not up to Amazon's usual high standards!!
