Useful but not perfect
First of all, this guide does not cover the DS version. It covers the main console versions only.

It's extremely useful, as you would expect from a game guide, but there are some omissions and inaccuracies, some of which can be confusing and irritating. For example, with the treasure map you are told that the second bit is on Crystal Island. Later on, you discover that you can only unlock Crystal Island after you have been everywhere else, making this the last treasure map piece rather than the second.

Some of the resource information is incorrect as well, for example coconut trees provide softwood not hardwood.

Other inaccuracies or inconsistencies are within the game itself, for example if you need "stone" you need to collect "pumice".

However, it's definitely easier playing the game with this guide than without it. It's just a pity that by the time I'd played it for a reasonably short time I could already correct the game guide.

Best Sims game ever
This game is amazing. When I fisrt bought it, I was amazed at how big the island was, then as I progressed though the game, discovered another 3 islands, 2 of them much bigger than the first island you start on. There is so much game play involved. I have spent hours on this game, colelcting resources, building huts and completing all the objectives. The freedom you have it fantastic. A must for all Sims fans out there.
