Learning how to play a guitar can be easy and simple if it is presented in an easy to understand format. For all the years I have been playing a guitar, I have never seen a "how to play guitar" book that provides a means of learning how to play guitar in an easy to understand format which includes less words and more clear and bold illustrations. So I thought it was about time to make available such guitar books with this approach in mind. I truly believe a picture tells a thousand words and this explains why I believe it doesn't take hundreds of pages of words to show someone how to play a guitar.

A Great Way To Get Started On The Guitar...
This guitar book is very clear and to the point with bold and easy to understand illustrations. It provides the easiest way to play guitar chords and how to form chord progressions from them. It includes plenty to learn about playing the guitar for anyone making that first go at it.

Not for the complete beginner!
This is a to-the-point tutor book with diagrams of finger placements, notes and chords etc. (It's virtually a black & white photocopied document.) I certainly wouldn't recommend it for a complete beginner who's looking for a warm, user friendly approach with pictures for reference - so the title is VERY misleading. More of a first guitar book for scientists / mathematicians / chartered accountants! (With due respect to any scientists / mathematicians / chartered accountants etc!)
