Inspiring & Fun
My eight year old daughter loves this book. I think it is very motivating and inspiring. The girls work together on their mission. Adult fairies are along to keep an eye on things but the young girls handle things themselves pretty well. This book is packed with alot of fun. Healty and active fun are stressed in the gardening and recycling. Imagination is catered to with the trolls, gnomes, brownies and Dream Spider. The girls in the book have qualities and gifts to help them get things done. Young readers will be inspired and empowered by this fun adventure.
Good for Kids
This book has decent writing, good illustrations, and plenty of fun and fancy. My kids certainly liked it, especially the part where the fairies rode on birds because it was too far for them to fly on their own. My kids also loved the Dream Spider and the trolls, and they want to read the book again. Due to the short length and relatively simple plot, I'm not sure this book will appeal to adults in the same way as kids unless they are fairy lovers or collectors. But it is a good kids book and will keep them entertained.
Be Enchanted and Don Your Fairy Wings
Wonderful and sweet tale! I couldn't stop reading it. The flow of the story is amazingly seamless. I have always loved fairy books but mainly for the art. This has a fantastic story to go with the beautiful art, though I think the illustrations are geared more to kids because the fairies are not quite as wispy as other fairy art. The adventure of seeking the Dream Spider, flying on birds, camping, and the double-cross of the Sandman was very exciting. (This was more fun than when I traveled to the South Seas with Pippi Longstocking in third grade.)
I am sending this to my little sister who also loves fairies. This just goes to show that some of us never grow up. I will love books like this until I am old and grey. And if I ever have kids of my own, I will read this book to them. Loved it! ---Candice L.
