A useful introduction for your first visit to Las Vegas
The 'Top 10' books offer a great introduction to a new city, and this particular guide is no different. Lots of colour pictures to give you a sense of the place, with fold out maps and various sections split out into top tens. As well as sections on the major hotels and the Vegas Strip, there are helpful sections on where to go with children, free entertainment and outdoor pursuits in and around Vegas. Use in conjunction with a bigger guide book if you want a lot of detail, though.

Vegas
I really like the eyewitness books but this one had a few pieces of incorrect information, obviously things that had changed since the last edition was printed. The Venetian no longer has an art exhibit, some restaurants were more expensive than the book suggested.
