Approachable,accessible & unbiased, definately worth reading4
This clear, concise book is a god-send for the student (or general reader alike) interested in carrying out a sociology-based research project. The text is lively, enthusiastic, laying emphasis, through the voice of many experts, on the best ways to carry out a social investigation.

Although the text is hard going in a few places with an occasional assumption of prior knowledge, its strategically placed references to real world research and well-thought out case studies make this a student-essential reference book.

Definitely one to keep on the shelf and dip into!

An excellent book5
This textbook covers everything you could possibly need to know about social research and how to do it. Granted it is not in great detail, but it gives a base to develop further research around specific topics.
