Product Description

Tommy Lee is known for any number of things: as the drummer for Motley Crue; as the husband and very public lover of Pamela Anderson; as a convicted felon; as the man who saw a child drown in his pool during a birthday party; and as a celebrity who continues to put his life back together after so many public trials and tribulations. It's been a life like no other - and now he's baring it all in a memoir like no other. Lee takes readers back to his childhood, when his penchant for misbehaviour got off to an early start, and brings them through the dizzying highs and abysmal lows of a life shaped by decadence and super-stardom. He shares what really happened during the Motley Crue days, reveals what it's like to film your own honeymoon and freely discusses his days in jail and how they changed his life. Often hilarious, always shameless, this is every bit the shocking memoir you'd expect from a man whose least interesting experience was being married to Heather Locklear. In an age of celebrity exposure, TOMMYLAND is the ultimate dish on the most notorious musical miscreant ever to dominate the headlines.

Not as good as the "The Dirt"3
This book is an OK read but if your going to buy a book about Tommy Lee I would go for "The Dirt" by Neil Strauss.
Tommyland goes over alot of the same ground as The Dirt does but is not as well written.
There are parts of this book which just seemed so pointless. I wanted to really like this book but unless your a massive Tommy fan buy The Dirt instead which is excellent.

Great book by a Great man!5
Tommy Lee definitely surprised me with this book. It's a lot more open and honest than the watered-down diaries that most "celebrities" put out these days. Some moments from 'Tommyland' are laugh-out-loud funny, other moments are bring-you-to-tears moving (in particular his account of being in jail, and when a four year old boy died at Tommy's son's birthday party.) The book was actually very inspirational, and his list of books that you should read to help you to learn more about yourself is great. Tommy Lee comes across as a really sweet guy who is just trying to put his life back together after a lot of setbacks, and you definitely finish this book hoping that he'll find happiness. There isn't much detail given about his relationships with the other Motley members, but this is probably because he wasn't a member of the band at the time he was writing this. This book shows Tommy's love for a lot of things, but in particular, his love for his kids and his music, and it was a really inspiriational and entertaining read. You should definitely buy this one, you won't regret it!
