If you really want to know the ins and outs!
I bought this book because I couldn't get a place in antenatal classes. It introduces a wide range of ways of coping with childbirth without taking any particular stance or advocating any particular approach. I liked it becaue I felt it presented me with choices and let me make up my own mind. It is clearly written and very indepth - not a choice for you unless you really want to know what is going to happen, but if you want to be well prepared and know all your options it is well worth it. But maybe I will change my mind about this review after I have had my baby and experienced labour first hand!
