Product Description

One of South America's most stunning spectacles, the great Salar de Uvuni salt lake, is here as well as Lake Titicaca. Bolivia retains its pre-Columbian traditions more than any other country in South America, with agricultural practices unchanged since the Incas, and traditional festivals and markets. It also has modern nightclubs, comfortable hotels and ecolodges, and is the ideal place to soak up some Latin American culture before the onset of mass tourism.

Informative reading5
I found this book to be both informative but also concise in detail. The sections on and around La Paz are spot on. I should know as I have been living there the past 3 years. Found the article on Tiahuanco and Lago Titicaca helpful with some facts I didn't know. The upcoming LP guide on Bolivia will have its work cut out to beat this book. Up to date information too on the political situation which is stable after many years of unrest.

Great resource for travellers to Bolivia5
Really useful and informative, this book cuts through the endless listings of other guides to offer a leaner, meaner approach to the best quality information. There's lots of contextual information for background reading on long bus journeys and plenty of parctical tips to shape any itinerary.

Bradt Bolivia2
I was very disappointed with this guide. It is indeed concise, but lacks many of the practical details related to travel, accomodation and tours which are found in the competing guides such as the lonely planet. I am glad I did not use this guide when I went to Bolivia last year. I would certainly not recommend it for anyone travelling to the country for the first time.
