Did You Know? In Australia, children may not purchase cigarettes, but are allowed to smoke them ...It is also illegal to read someone's tarot or give them a psychic reading, as these are forms of witchcraft. In Denmark it is not illegal to escape from prison, but if you're caught you must finish the remainder of your sentence. In Singapore, you may not walk around your house while naked, as this is considered to be a form of pornography. In the USA, in the state of Arkansas, alligators may not be kept in the bath ...In Iowa, kisses may last for a maximum of five minutes. "The World's Stupidest Laws" is essential reading for anyone who's ever been bamboozled by legal lunacy abroad or who's fallen foul of ludicrous laws in their locality.

Customer Reviews
An excellent reference - when taking the mickey out of Yanks
A Funny little book, which highlights stupid laws from around the world that are still on the statute books, though presumably are not enforced any longer in most cases.
When you read this it will cause you to ponder, what exactly occured to cause the city fathers of Canton, Mississippi to decide that it was a crime to kill a squirrel with a gun in a courthouse?
Very,very funny.
It is a mad mad world and this book proves it. Every country in the world seems to have stupid laws and the United Kingdom is no exception.A very good book and every page is a laugh.
The worlds stupidest signs
The laws of this world seem too silly to be true, but here they are. I wonder if anyone has actually been charged for breaking these silly rules. It is a crime in michigan for a woman to have her hair cut without her husbands permission, blimey and people complain about sexism here!
If you do get to court over one of the crimes in this book, dont think the court room is any help, read the courtroom quips section to discover how much sense they have!
The youngest son - the 20 year old, how old is he?
Were you alone or by yourself?
So you dont know what it was, and you dont know what it looked like, but can you describe it?
I think if i was in court being asked these questions id be sent down for being sarcastic!
Have a read it is funny
