About the Author
One of Britain's leading and most loved designers, Cath Kidston is best known for her vintage-inspired, colourful prints for the home. Starting with one shop in 1992, she celebrated her 15th anniversary in 2008 and now has 15 shops and concessions in the UK and two in Japan. Sew much better than the last book (get it, sew?)
Like many other CK fans, I bought her last crafts book 'MAKE!' and was really disappointed that it didn't actually give you the instructions to 'make' a single thing, rather just to embellish store bought items.

It seems CK took the feedback of her customers and readers on board, and really delivered with her latest installment, SEW!. The book contains step-by-step instructions, and patterns, for lots of lovely items. All would work really well with CK fabric, or perhaps vintage linens.

My only criticism of the book is that it says it comes with a 'length' of special CK fabric to make a bag (as pictured on the cover). It does come with the fabric, however all the pieces are already pre-cut. I would much prefer to have a proper length of fabric, a simple pattern, and do the cutting myself. Although I appreciate that this book needs to cater for a variety of skill levels, and pre-cut fabric pieces would certainly help a beginner if this was one of their first sewing projects. So, I'll let that one go. It still gets five stars from me!

well worth the money
This is a lovely book, with a variety of projects, wonderful pictures, clear simple instructions & bonus kit to create bag on front cover (although the bag is very small it is still a nice extra I hadn't expected).

I love all things Cath Kidston and was not disappointed with this book as I was with the MAKE IT book the projects look exciting and fairly easy with templates.Its a bright and exciting book I love it
