About the Author
Sam McBratney was a primary and secondary school teacher for a number of years, before becoming a full-time author. Twice winner of the Bisto Award, he has written many books, stories and radio plays for adults and children. He lives in Ireland. Anita Jeram has illustrated numerous children's books, including a series of stories by Amy Hest about Sam and Mrs Bear. She lives with her family in Northern Ireland.

simply lovely
I first bought this book when my children were small, it was lovely to share with them. Now they are buying this special version to give as a gift to people they love, the book is very special and has a delightful message.

Guess how much I love this book!
I bought a regular edition of this book for my son when he was tiny and it soon became my favourite bedtime story to read to him. Even before he could talk I would ask "how much do you love Mummy?" and he would hold his arms out wide :o) So when my best friend was pregnant I wanted to buy it for her. I was delighted to find this Sweetheart Edition as it makes a beautiful gift. I was so delighted with it when it arrived that I ordered another one for my new baby daughter. I can't wait 'til she can tell me how much she loves me by reaching up high!
