Synopsis
This is one of the most outstanding collections of nature photographs you will find, representing the work of more than 100 professional and amateur photographers from 22 countries. It comprises all the winning and commended photographs from the 2007 Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition - the most prestigious event of its kind in the world - selected by an international panel of judges out of 32,300 entries from 78 countries. The range of subjects and styles is diverse - from abstract nature images to animal behaviour and portraits to environmental reportage. Together they celebrate the splendour, drama and variety of life on Earth. Each is accompanied by a memorable caption that tells the story of how and why the shot was taken.

Customer Reviews

Stunning5
The photographs in this book are incredible, a worthy addition to any photographers collection. I'm considering collection the previous books, if they are anything like this they are well worth owning.

Outstanding5
This book really is an outstanding collection of photographs. I'ts not the first portfolio I have bought but they get better and better each year. The Polar Bear brings a tear to my eye every time I look at it. If you love animals or wildlife photography you really should treat yourself to this book.
