Product Description

An ancient murder! A clandestine society! A conspiracy that will end in death! Former SAS operative Ben Hope is running for his life. Enlisted by the beautiful Leigh Llewellyn - world famous opera star and Ben's first love - to investigate her brother's mysterious death, Ben finds himself caught up in a centuries-old puzzle. The official line states that Oliver died whilst investigating Mozart's death, but the facts don't add up. Oliver's research reveals that Mozart, a notable freemason, may have been killed by a shadowy and powerful splinter group of the cult. The only clues lie in an ancient letter, believed to have been written by Mozart himself. When Leigh and Ben receive video evidence of a ritual sacrifice being performed by hooded men, they realise that the sect is still in existence today!and will stop at nothing to remain a secret. From the dreaming spires of Oxford to Venice's labyrinthine canals, the majestic architecture of Vienna and Slovenia's snowy mountains, Ben and Leigh must forget the past and race across Europe to uncover the truth behind THE MOZART CONSPIRACY! An electrifying and utterly gripping must read for fans of Dan Brown, Sam Bourne and Ludlum's Bourne series.

He's done it again5
The second book in the Ben Hope series is faster, tighter, badder and one of the best reads I've had in ages. I just can't get enough of this guy. Action fans will be blown away by the thrill-a-minute pace, and the historical intrigue that drives the plot really does feel authentic and plausible. The quality of the writing is excellent, and there's a level of characterisation that's rare to find in a thriller. Ben Hope combines all the toughness and capability of a true hero with a depth of sensitivity that genuinely draws the reader to him. A stonkingly terrific read, and now I can't wait for the next one!

A real page turner you won't put down.4
The Mozart Conspiracy

Lee Childs meets Dan Brown is a reasonable way of summing up the style of this fine thriller.

Ben Hope the hero is as Teflon coated as Jack Reacher but a more engaging character, in fact all the characters are reasonably rounded especially Leigh Llewellyn Hope's first love and the focus of the novel.

Like other reviewers I read the book in one sitting, it is a real page turner written in an easy to assimilate style with plenty of action. Although slightly lacking real nail biting tension it made no difference to this reader, I kept reading regardless.

I have already ordered all the other Scott Mariani novels.

Fantastic Thriller!5
Having read The Alchemist's Secret and thoroughly enjoying it, I was eager to read the second thriller featuring the exciting and irresistable main character, Ben Hope. I was not disappointed! From beginning to end The Mozart Conspiracy was an intense page-turner with a fast-paced, well plotted storyline and great characters. The author, Scott Mariani, is going from strength to strength and I am looking forward to more of his work.
