Synopsis
The modern era of Superbikes began in the 1970s and was dominated by the Italian marques, in particular the Ducati 750 and 900 Super Sport. Since then Ducati have produced a long series of sporting motorcycles, several of them true classics. In this book, the author chronicles the evolution of these bikes, bringing the story right up to date with Year 2000 models.
Customer Reviews
A most pleasing and enjoyable read.
A beautifully written book, with some superb photography. The auther presents a sympathetic and warming history of one of the quintissential bloodlines of motorcycling, together with introspective insight into the various model differences between UK and US markets and the rational behind them. The chronological production numbers are fascinating and serve to highlight the hand built nature of the beast. Altogether an excellently thought out and fascinating read for casual browsers and hardened Ducatisti.
