This new edition of the popular Digital SLR Masterclass is updated to keep up with the rapid change in technology, and the format of the book has been reduced to an A5 flexibound-with-flaps book that can fit in a photographer s kit bag. The book addresses the key issues that are relevant to all D-SLR users as well as photographers who are thinking about changing to digital capture.

Editorial Reviews
From the Author
I wrote this book to help the many photographers who are struggling with using a DSLR. Too many photographers try to make the subject of using a DSLR sound difficult, with acronyms and meaningless techo babble. Using a DSLR is very very easy, and most of it is common sense. Therefore this guide just sets out what you need to know and leaves out all the rest. It is basically what I do to get my images that sell around the world, all of which have been taken on a DSLR for the past three years. Of course this book is not for everyone as techno heads will want much more technical detail and to make it much less approachable for the normal photographer. But to the masses this book has had great reviews and feedback and I know that it has helped a great many people to use their DSLR more effectively.

Click..A breath of fresh air
If,like me,you have just jumped the fence into the digital world and purchased a DSLR you will, in all probability, do as I did and purchase books on the subject. Most of these will be aimed at those with some previous experience and written in a language which has the ability to induce coma or at best reduce you to the fetal position whilst whinning slowly.Well worry no longer. What a breath of fresh air this book is. Written in a no nonsense and techno babble free style it is packed with sound advice from one of the top pro photographers.I found myself saying "Ahh that's what it means" on a number of occasions. If you want to become a tech head then this is not the book for you. If you want a book which says "try this and this is how to do it" then buy this and keep it in your camara bag.
Brilliant
Just what I needed. I had never owned a D-SLR in the past and this book cleared a lot of fear ! I am going to buy a DSLR soon and I think I know which one to go for, after having read this book. Book very easy to understand with simple to follow advice on various aspects of digital photography. You can't go wrong with this one.
Perfect advice for moving across to DSLR
This book provides an excellent framework for moving across to DSLR written in easy non-jargon riddled language. The advice about how to go about shooting on a DSLR (in some ways quite different from SLR in terms of what settings you choose) as well as a comprehensive review of all the functionality of a DSLR is invaluable. I still keep it in my camera bag for occasional reference! Highly recommended
