Editorial Reviews

Synopsis
"Real Riding" offers different ways to approach traditional and natural principles of horsemanship. The emphasis throughout is on employing empathy and understanding and looking at things from the horse's point of view. It sheds light on common misconceptions, difficulties and contradictions, and the pages are crammed with exercises, simple "tricks" and things to do that can make a real difference. Perry Wood aims to put harmony with horses within grasp of every rider and brings the art of riding into the 21st century.

Customer Reviews

At last a book about riding that's fun to read5
This book is not only fun to read but will also enable the reader to make some real (positive) differences in their riding. Thoroughly recommended.

The book a horse has written5
from Margrit Coates author of ' Healing for Horses'
The horse has been waiting for this book . A book that the horse would in fact have written for himself if he could use a computer. For too long the horse world has been full of riding/training books that don't really help horses or address the real issues . Every horse lover should read this book - the horse has already .

Real pleasure5
Excellent book that made me alternate between feelings of guilt and howls of laughter. I was even glued to it preparing for a show. The format is excellent you can jump between sections that your most interested in as I started but I'm sure you'll end up reading cover to cover. Excellent summary's to allow for memory joggers and tips. And the chasing tiger really helps motivate the slowest horse
