A compelling read.
Noren's style is easy and entertaining. There is a good balance between the tension of his relationship with his companion, his cultural observations and the humourous incidents, which happen along the way. The book is informative and anyone considering traveling in the Baltic Sea region, exposed to the elements as on a motorbike, should read this book first. There's nothing like travel to test a friendship and this book offers up many lessons on relationships and communication. The reality is - that travel of this kind can be hard work - the substance of good books.
