Average customer review:Product Description
This trusted guide is now in its twelfth edition and is a glittering collection of some 660 farms, castles, cottages, rectories, windmills and townhouses (around 30 in London). There is something for everyone, from families with children to young lovers, peace-seekers, beach bums and gardeners. More than 500 of these places are committed to providing an organic or locally-sourced breakfast and half a dozen B&Bs are celebrated for their all-round `green' credentials with their own special green pages.
If you're after outstanding architecture, inspiring views, beautiful interiors or memorable friendliness you will be spoilt for choice. Clear symbols, excellent maps, colour photos, concise directions and quick reference indices help guide readers and our fresh and lively write-ups paint an accurate picture, so they can make an informed choice. All places are regularly inspected, and chosen because they are special.

Customer Reviews
Its always special with Alastair Sawday
I often turn to the Alastair Sawday website for help when looking for a place to stay. But there is nothing better than the guide. The maps give you a clear idea where the B&B's are, and you can then flip through the relevant entries to find one that suits you. And you can be sure that any one of them will be something out of the ordinary and worth the visit. I don't use anything else.
From abroad
Living in France, and not returning very often to the UK, it is essential to have a book that `will keep us up to date with really good places to stay.
We never travel without a copy, and have found so many delightful 'homes abroad'. The only problem is choosing!
Meet people like you . . . .
I have a simple philosophy and that is always to stay somewhere that's as good as or better than my own home. The only reliable source of those places in my experience is Alistair Sawday's execellent guide
It's also the only B&B guide I've found that virtually guarantees a stimulating conversation with like minded people over breakfast!
