Get the odds on your side - Read this book5
Making money in the markets has never been easy. This book improves your chances by examining 7 strategies which are easy to understand and implement. Each strategy is explained in a concise manner with the advantages and disadvantages explained. The technical challenges and solutions for each strategy are outlined in detail. Indicator tools are used to define each strategy in a very practical way.

What makes this book a real winner are the many charts and indicators illustrated, which back up each strategy leaving the reader in no doubt as to what to look for when trading each method.

As well as the 7 strategies there is also a section on "investing rules that really count" together with "The Spread Betting Investor Mind Set".
Those sections alone are worth the price of the book.

Good Stuff5
This is a straight forward and clearly spelt out guide that gives you the detail necessary to follow 7 different strategies. This makes it possible to find one for any state of the market. As the book only illustrates the strategies using weekly data the trades are expected to last a matter of weeks or months and once set with stops in place there is no requirement to be glued to the computer following every twist and turn of the market. Each strategy follows a simple template which will hopefully make it easy for the trader to place trades and stops in a disciplined manner. Stress is laid on the importance of position sizing. An excellent book for anyone who is serious about making money in the markets.

a safe bet4
There isn't much to this book. It consists of 7 strategies but this is really only four strategies because for instance buying and selling pullbacks is considered two different strategies.

it's a pretty slim book with a lot of graphs but saying that it is still a good book.

The presentation and explanation is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact he puts in losing trades, it's all to common in trading books of people selling the dream and giving you perfect examples. Trading a graph is easy in retrospect but at the time you make any trades it's far from certain, this books shows this excellently.

The advice before the strategies is very good, straight forward and sensible.

if you have read other trading books you might not need to bother buying this one because you have probably already read the points and strategies mentioned in this book but if you haven't read many trading books then I would recommend this one. I particularly like the fact he talks about trading weekly charts
