A Tribute to a Hero
George has stated on many Occasions that Freddie probably saved him from a life as a "Waiter", and what a way to say Thank You and Good-Bye.
George's vocals have always been strong but on Somebody To Love and Calling You they are given a full workout!! No wonder there was immense speculation that George would take over where Freddie left off, a tribute in itself. The duet with Lisa Stansfield is gorgeous, all in all, a briiliant CD, well produced, arranged and of course well performed. If you're not a Queen fan, don't worry you'll still enjoy this CD. A must for any collection.
George does Freddie (& Seal!) proud!
George stole the show at the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in April 1992 and two songs from that set appear on this EP. Strange how Papa/Killer/Calling You also ended up on here whilst the other Queen track George performed ("39") was omitted.
A UK No.1 one this is a must for Queen and/or George Michael fans and perhaps even Seal fans interested to hear his cover of "Killer"!
